1. Charlie Chaplin was born just four days before Adolf Hitler.

2. Charlie Chaplin worked with a children’s dance troupe before making a huge mark on the big screen. 

3. His father, a notorious drinker, abandoned Chaplin, his mother and his older half-brother, Sydney, not long after Chaplin’s birth. 


4. His mother lost her voice during a play and later in life, she had to be admitted to a mental asylum.

Chaplin was 54.
